The store was recently refurbished, giving it a bright fresh, new look and welcome local suppliers, including Gilfresh, Just Live a Little, Mash Direct and Irwin’s Bakery will sample their ranges in-store across all categories. ‘Meet the Makers’ is rolling out across all 34 local SuperValu stores in Northern Ireland and is part of the retail brand’s ‘We Believe in Local’ campaign. Food NI plays an instrumental role in Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink 2016 and has lent its support to Supervalu’s ‘Meet the Makers’ campaign. Food NI represents 400 members, enhancing the reputation of food from Northern Ireland and has developed a Producers Guide which was a key reference point for the ‘Meet the Makers’ campaign, connecting local producers and new suppliers with SuperValu.
