Twenty sporting groups chase cashpot totalling £560,000

Twenty sporting organisations have applied to Magherafelt District Council for funding amounting to £560,000 under the capital sports grant.

Applications received included: Megargy and District Game and Conservation Society £24,602 (grant requested); Desertmartin FC, £11,774; Slaughtneil Emmetts £50,000; and Kilrea Pearses, £50,000.

Moyola Park Golf Club, £50,000; Watty Graham GAC, Maghera £50,000; Sean O’Leary GAC, Newbridge, £50,000; Erins‘s Own lavey GAC, £50,000; Magherafelt Sky Blues FC, £50,000 ; Clady and District Angling, £21,870. St Trea’s Ballymaguigan, £50,000; St Martin’s GAC, Desertmartin £36,544; Rainey Old Boys Club, £47,580; St John’s Boxing Club, Swatragh £27,675; St Colm’s GAC, Castledawson £50,000; O’Donovan Rossa GAC, Magherafelt £47,909.
